The American
Dream for all
Long Island

My Message

Being an American is embarrassing right now. We have a leader who is backed by mega corporations, white supremacist groups, and the richest men in America willing to pollute our earth, bodies and minds with their technology. All while claiming they are making the American dream great. They're ruining us. They are taking our name and plastering it over warheads and tacky gold plated things, leaving us all behind, or taking many of us decades back.  Yes, I say us and our name. As a Black American I will no longer be told this country is not mine and that I do not deserve every inch it has to offer me, or what it already owes me. I will no longer let us feel rejected, by this Nation and it's commitment to white supremacy, internalized and otherwise.

The American dream is unaffordable, and their version of it is perverse and unjust. Student debt continues to climb while the job market gives entry level jobs to ai; the prospect of owning a home is getting farther and farther away, while homes sit empty owned by private equity firms building their wealth; the price for basic necessities like food, water, and utilities are all going up, despite federal wages staying at $7.50; parents who dreamed of having children are struggling to keep them feed, well educated and safe, childcare costs almost as much as owning a home and is a commitment that should be supported, if we're so worried about the childbirth rates.

It's time to reclaim the American Dream. I'm fighting to finally give us all the permission we've been fighting for, the permission to dream, and to make those dreams real. We all want to live in a safe community, have the opportunity to pursue our purpose, raise a family, see the world, and live healthy healing lives. We can't do that on the path we are on. We can't go back to sleep, we must stay awake and act. This campaign, will make the American dream real, for all of us.

About Me

About Me

I was born in Baldwin raised in Freeport, now living in Hempstead. I was the chief of staff to a Nassau County Legislator and a New York State Assembly member on Long Island. In these roles, I served the public working to resolves issues using intergovernmental relations, held town halls, and hosted events to foster a better sense of community. After serving the public in these capacities, I saw a need to bring more voices in and joined New American Leaders as their National Women's Program Director. I trained over 100 women to run for office, many of them have seen success. I also started a union with my friends, (pro-tip, everyone loves unions until you start one). I sat in on contract negotiations with management and fought for better working conditions during COVID.

New American Leaders was my dream job, I thought I'd be there for much longer than I was. I charted a path for a new dream. I started Passion Fruit Strategies LLC in 2024, a political consulting firm that helps train people interested in organizing political and social movements on Long Island. I impart my 14 years of knowledge of the region to strengthen nonprofit and individual campaigns and causes for justice.

Between that time I was working on various social justice campaigns, I worked with an intergenerational team to save a community park from being developed into a Amazon warehouse, I worked with regional coalitions to draft a police reform policy called the "People's Plan" and engaged and organized many town halls and civic engagement events as one of the co-founders of Young Long Island for Justice.

About My Campaign

This is a grassroots underdog campaign. I have been in opposition to the democratic establishment since 2020, when I publicly called them out to demand they join their Black voters and volunteers and say Black Lives Matter. They sent out an email, I was removed from the list.

My campaign is run by experienced grassroots organizers from organizations like Make the Road New York, New York Communities for Change, the Long Island Progressive Coalition and independent union leaders.

No money from AIPAC

No stock trading - I commit to not investing in the stock market for my own personal gain, at all. If congressional members are going to continue to trade in stock, I would commit to creating a fund run by a committee of district residents. The fund would receive stock investments and distribute the funds to help our community members and provide support in areas such as grocery bills, credit card debt, matching student debt repayment, scholarships for students, endless possibilities, all for the economic freedom of our district.

No stock trading

No free trips from Lobbyists - I commit to not accept any free trips from Lobbyists. Whatever offer is made to me to go abroad, I would offer to the students of CD 4. I've traveled to many countries and states and find it to be an invaluable experience. I've meet to many Long Islanders that have not even ventured out of their zip code. To not see the world is to not know the world, and if I can, I'd want to offer that chance to a student of CD 4.

My Commitments
To You

Key Policies

Affordability

Long Island families are being priced out while banks, corporations, and absentee investors profit. This campaign is about affordability, fairness, and putting our communities first.

Housing

The American Dream has always included owning something without drowning in debt. I believe in protecting homeowners, expanding access to ownership, and stopping corporate abuse of our housing market so people can afford to stay where they live.

Employment

I believe in unions because I believe in democracy at work. My family’s history — from healthcare to education to finance — taught me that workplaces thrive when workers are respected.
